- [Clients Shine at Awards Banquet](https://wnaengineering.com/2025/05/17/clients-shine-at-awards-banquet/): NAIOP Pittsburgh held their 32nd Annual Awards Banquet, recognizing and honoring contributions to Pittsburgh’s commercial real estate market.  Among the eight award winners were two projects in which WNA Engineering participated: NAI Burns Scalo received the Best New Speculative Office Building award for Diamond Ridge in Moon Township, PA. Regional Industrial Development Corporate (RIDC) and Westmoreland County Industrial Development Corporation received the Best Industrial Renovation Project for RE:Build Manufacturing at NKAMP.
- [Phase 2 Construction Begins for NYC Project](https://wnaengineering.com/2025/04/09/phase-2-construction-begins-for-nyc-project/): WNA Engineering’s project in New York City is entering phase 2 of construction.  The company is providing comprehensive MEP/FP and Fire Alarm services across four floors in the Manhattan building for a brand name retailer. A standout design feature of the project are out-spaces on two of the building’s southeast corners, perfect for outdoor team collaboration or solo quiet focus time.

- [Excellence In Lighting Award to Hope Gas](https://wnaengineering.com/2024/10/21/excellence-in-lighting-award-to-hope-gas/): Congratulations to Hope Gas Allied Health Innovation Center on receiving an Excellence in Lighting Award from Electric League of Western PA.  The Morgantown, WV company was named the winner for Interior Lighting at the 2024 Hall of Honor & Excellence in Lighting Awards Gala. WNA Engineering was honored to be included on this project, working in partnership with NEXT Architecture, Scott Electric Company, Mon Valley Electric, Inc. NAI Burns Scale, Repco II and owner WVU Innovation Corporation.
- [Academic Project in Philadelphia](https://wnaengineering.com/2024/10/09/academic-project-in-philadelphia/): One of the main academic buildings on the East Falls Campus of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia is Hayward Hall.  For 30 years, WNA staff has led renovation and MEP infrastructure projects for the building. The most recent project WNA completed includes three existing labs on the top floor of the three-story building.  Approximately 3,000 square feet was in the scope of work, comprised of teaching and research space, plus offices and conference rooms including an AV system.  Alterations for the new break out area with kitchenette were also part of this project.

- [New Offices for TIAA Financial Services Pittsburgh](https://wnaengineering.com/2024/08/30/new-offices-for-tiaa-financial-services-pittsburgh/): An empty shell was completely transformed into beautiful new offices for wealth management advisors of TIAA Financial Services Pittsburgh. The firm recently moved to the Liberty East Building at 141 South Saint Clair Street.  Working with a stellar project, construction, and interiors team, WNA Engineering provided mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering services. Electrical services were also in WNA’s scope of work which included power, lighting, and fire alarm for the new office space.  Partners: TIAA provides in-person retirement counseling and financial advising services.

The Pittsburgh office was recently the location of WNA’s semi-annual meeting.  Company President Kevin Wilson recapped the 2024 company activities to date and shared the roadmap for the months ahead. - [A Diamond in the Rough - For Now](https://wnaengineering.com/2024/07/22/a-diamond-in-the-rough-for-now/): Progress continues for one of our projects, Diamond Ridge in Moon Township, PA.   Check out this video from our recent site visit.  Owned by NAI Burns Scalo, when complete Diamond Ridge, will be a three-building, 500,000 square foot office park.  Project architect is NEXT Architecture and mechanical contractor is Hranec Mechnical Corporation.

- [Plumbing Team Attends ASPE Pittsburgh Event](https://wnaengineering.com/2024/05/01/aspe-young-professionals/): The American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) is the international organization for professionals skilled in the design, specification and inspection of plumbing systems.  The organization “is dedicated to the advancement of the science of plumbing engineering, the professional growth and advancement of its members, and the health, welfare, and safety of the public.” The WNA plumbing design team had the opportunity to attend the AYP (ASPE Young Professionals) Top Golf Event, hosted by the local ASPE chapter. 
- [Opening Doors: Children Discover Professional Worlds](https://wnaengineering.com/2024/04/25/bring-your-child-to-work-day/): Bring Your Child To Work Day gives children a glimpse into the professional world, offering an opportunity to see what the adults in their lives do. It also allows them to experience and explore the career possibilities out there. We feel that by inviting children in our workplace, we are helping mentor and hopefully inspire the next generation. Our team members get the opportunity to show what life in an engineering firm looks like, and also the importance of collaboration, communication, and compassion. It was great to see the children of so many team members!
- [Eggs-cellent New Restaurant](https://wnaengineering.com/2024/04/05/speckled-egg/): A second location for the popular Pittsburgh-based restaurant Speckled Egg has opened. A former restaurant space, WNA provided demo drawings, designs for new lighting, controls, fire alarm devices, and installing new sprinklers throughout the space. Also included in the scope of work was providing new grease traps at dishwasher, 3-bowl sink, and other pre-rinse sinks require by ACHD. The design incorporated a family toilet room, new finishes for the existing toilet rooms, new garage doors, and sliding doors along with configuration of power to the new façade sign. - [Law Firm Unveils New Office Space](https://wnaengineering.com/2024/03/21/steptoe-johnson/): The Pittsburgh office of nationally recognized law firm Steptoe & Johnson PLLC moved into a 23,000 square foot space in 2023.  The new office has a footprint which is 40% larger than the firm’s previous Pittsburgh office. - [Rize Sports ](https://wnaengineering.com/2024/01/23/rize-sports/): September 2023 marked the grand opening of a multipurpose athletic and events space in Leetsdale, PA. Rize Sports is a 90,000 square foot project of The Sports Facilities Companies. In addition to three basketball courts built to NCAA design specifications, the facility includes a commercial kitchen, and cafe lounge seating areas for spectators.
