  • Travel up to approximately 80% of the time to project sites. Travel is paid for by the company.
  • Strong organizational and management skills - you will be developing, managing and organizing scans/surveys, flights, hotels, rentals.
  • Change management skills - flights get changed/canceled, how you react to these is important.
  • Strong special awareness skills – when scanning/surveying, knowing how and where your next survey position is, is essential.

  • Enjoys Travel – scanning/surveying is countrywide, sometimes international; you must enjoy traveling.
  • Ability to climb ladders, when scanning/surveying you need to get information that is above the ceiling or on the roof.

  • Flexibility on day length – travel combined with scan/surveys time make for extended day lengths.
  • Ability to be away from home – efficiency of scan/survey scheduling means multiple weekdays away from home.
  • Provide assistance to the CAD and BIM team when not surveying or processing information.

 

Position + but training is available:

  • AutoCAD or other related software experience or training a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of building, NFPA, fire alarm, and electrical codes.

Duties:

  • Maintain WNA equipment and asset inventory.
  • Mail retrieval, review, and distribution
  • Preliminary review of employee expense reports including mileage verification, receipt documentation, etc.
  • Office Supplies- tracking stock, best pricing, and orders.  Coordinate between offices.
  • Office space - Order Furniture, coordinate location of employees, assist in space planning.
  • Software - Maintain Licenses and obtain best pricing, order new for new employees.
  • Professional Licensing - Coordinate CEU requirements and maintain records for all Professional Engineers.
  • Backup support for our Accountant, HR Coordinator and Business Manager: Payroll, Invoicing, 401K management.
  • Additional duties as required.

 

Required:

  • Associate degree or Certification in Business Management or associated specialties

Your Impact:

  • Research trends to identify demand for our firm’s services, connect with potential customers, and support lead-generation efforts.
  • Organize and help prepare responses for proposals, including presentations, qualifications, and additional supporting marketing material.
  • Prepare and manage market sector proposal standards.

Proposal and Presentations: 

  • PM for the coordination, writing, editing, and production of statements of qualifications, proposals, presentations, project descriptions, and other marketing collateral.
  • Coordinates, writes, edits/tailors, and performs research for non-technical proposal sections.
  • Solicits and coordinates information from professionals, sub-consultants, and other team members for inclusion in proposal and presentation materials.

 

Messaging & Strategy: 

  • Analyze and interpret practice portfolios and associated market expertise along with key trends and drivers that impact the market and translate them into actionable marketing content and win strategies.
  • Serves as the key marketing liaison to partner(s).

  • Develop, prepare, check, and coordinate designs/drawings needed for plumbing/fire protection systems per applicable standards and codes.
  • Prepare plumbing/fire protection specifications.
  • Directly interface with clients.
  • Attend meetings and conduct field surveys.
  • Prepare technical reports.
  • Coordinate with Code Officials and provide code summaries for projects.
  • Assist in project time budgeting.
  • Prepare project cost budgets.
  • Collaborate with entire design team.
  • Review and coordinate vendor shop drawings to ensure compliance with design requirements.
  • Contribute to the overall business development of the company

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection drawings on a variety of projects under the supervision and direction of the Project Engineer and Firm Principals.
  • Setup and plotting of project documents.
  • Perform project tasks as directed by Project Manager or Engineer.
  • Manage CAD Standards and Details.

 

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in drafting or equally relevant drafting certificate.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of reading and reviewing construction drawings.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet project deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite products.
  • Efficient and knowledgeable in the use of AutoCAD 2014 or newer.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Revit 2018 or newer.
  • Experience in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Drafting is a plus.

  • Serve as surveyor for projects.
  • Travel up to approximately 80% of the time to project sites.  Travel is paid for by company.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements with team manager and administrators.
  • Utilize electronic point cloud scanners and cameras onsite to provide a 3D point cloud.
  • Review building dimensions, HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing equipment onsite and complete standard forms to organize survey information.
  • Process survey information and assist in providing information back to client.
  • Provide assistance to the CAD and BIM team when not surveying or processing information.
  • Participate in team meetings and design roundtables to improve internal processes.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

  • 2+ Years of experience in construction industry.
  • Familiarity with HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Systems a plus.  We are willing to train for this position.
  • Proficiency with Revit and autoCAD.
  • Ability to manage and organize multiple surveys and travel arrangements.
